FALL TRANSITION

Exploring locally has been the best way for me to fulfill my constant itch to travel. This was taken during a recent visit to the Venice Canals. It was my first time there and I was so impressed! There are a handful of canals each with an arched bridge to take you over to the next. The fact that it is nestled in a residential area with custom homes makes it even better for me. I used to love going to model home showings and driving into fancy neighborhoods, imagining what life would be like in each home. These brought me back to those days. The houses were any where between modern with an entire side exposed by it’s glass wall to country cottages with porch swings and a white picket fence. It’s a nice area for a Sunday Morning stroll with a coffee in hand and a friend at your side.

It’s been unusually warm in SoCal so light breathable fabrics are a must for the start of a very warm fall.  This printed wrap dress (Foreign Exchange) is a nice transition for the season. It has airy fabric and hem line of a sun dress but the long sleeves make it more appropriate for the Fall. I’ve scrunched up the sleeves making it look like a 3/4 sleeve since it was so warm. I balanced the busy pattern with simple accessories (Watch- Necklace- Tiffany & Co.) and an angular pump (ZARA).
