IT’S FRY-DAY!


Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE fries. It’s kind of a problem. So I have decided to pick occasional Fridays to designate as Fry-days to suggest places to try for my fellow fry lovers!


Can’t go wrong with pork belly. Or can you? I knew I had to try it when I saw it on the menu. This is a classic situation of an amazing idea with room for improvement on execution. The meat was too soft for my liking-not a fan of gooey pork belly. Potatoes were wedge cut and very interesting but needed to be hotter but can’t go wrong with the gravy and egg. I wouldn’t consider it the best but I’m thinking it was a fluke and would give them another chance since the ambiance of the place is cool, casual and the cocktails are incredible. Try it!


Hanging out at downtown disney? Try these Chorizo fries for a quick and satisfying snack! Although it looks small, it packs a lot of amazing flavors. I need to add an egg to everything and anywhere that allows it. The chorizo is impactful with a good amount of heat but balanced with standard fries, aoli, cheese curds, and egg. Try it!


These are hands down the best Carne Asada Fries I’ve ever tasted. Carne Asada, Shrimp, Cheese, Guacamole & Fries. This is southern california in a box. The Asada is rich with flavor and shrimp is fresh and a bright compliment. Just enough guac to give everything a little juice without making anything soggy. Yes, Lolita’s. You can only get this in San Diego! Try it!
